When this didnt work I did the same, but now with the Warcraft 3 game instad of the entire folder. This also didn't work. I did forget to mention that my Warcraft 3 is not up to date. For some reason the patch I downloaded from Battle.net can not be applied.

The only way to fix this is to download Warcraft 3 Version Switcher and switch your game to a version that is compatible with the custom map. You can download the version switcher using my link: I have included the patch data for almost every version of WC3. Extract the zip and open wvs.exe and then click 'Switch Version'. Start from version 1.20e and work your way up.
